Converge is an Open Source Editorial Content Management System for media houses and news agencies to manage their editorial content. With Converge editorial content can be reviewed in custom workflows and automatically published in several outlets (e.g. web sites, SMS, mobile apps, e-mail...). Converge makes it easy to incorporate news content from newswires and agencies. With support for common newswire formats such as NewsML, RSS. ATOM, and plain e-mail.
Converge is used by Radio Africa Limited to plan and organise content for news bulletins for their six radio stations. It is also used to generate hourly news bulletin videos for Kiss TV. Star Publications, Kenya uses Converge to plan and author all their content for their daily newspaper the Star! Mars Group Kenya uses Converge for media monitoring and managing the content for their websites.
Converge is developed and distributed under the GNU General Public License 3.0. You can get started with Converge today! Click the button on the right to start downloading. The download is a Virtual Machine containing a pre-installed and configured installation of Converge and its dependencies on an Ubuntu 10.04 Server. To use the Virtual Machine you must have VMWare Player or Fusion. You can also download the Converge sources and compile and deploy the software yourself!
